Eric Khemeia's luck was certainly not on his side. First, he lost his job at the burger joint when his boss fired him, and then, on his way home, he slipped on a railing and accidentally killed himself while trying to save a drowning woman. But that was not the end of his misfortune. He awoke in a strange place, confronted by an angry 'goddess' who berated him for ruining her carefully crafted plan to unite him with his soulmate.

Was this the end of the road for Eric? Had he irreversibly sabotaged his chance at happiness with the girl of his dreams? Absolutely not. Eric was determined to find a way out of his predicament. Through a combination of wit and resilience, he negotiated a reincarnation on a new world. However, the 'goddess' in charge of this process was less than competent, leaving Eric uncertain of the outcome – would he end up as a frog or something even worse?

Fortunately, Eric's reincarnation was a success, and he found himself in his new world, mostly intact. He made his way to the class ceremony, where he would learn the nature of the power he would wield in this land of magic and monsters. But during the ceremony, an inadvertent wish marked him for death, forcing him to make a hasty retreat from town at his father's behest, in order to avoid execution or the outbreak of a civil war.

Eric's journey had only just begun. As he tried to evade those seeking to end his life, he also had to study for the alchemy guild test, all while navigating the challenges of coexisting with and potentially loving a cat woman, without rubbing her the wrong way.

It was a delicate balance, but Eric was determined to overcome the obstacles in his path and find a way to not only survive but also thrive in this new world. With his wits and resilience as his guides, he set out on a journey filled with unexpected twists and turns, where the stakes were high, and the consequences of failure were severe.
